Tomorrow, February 23rd, Google will be enacting the recently announced changes to their privacy policy.

Today is the last day to clear your search history before it becomes merged with any other information Google has about you.

Massive Rise in Malicious Spam

Researchers have noted a huge spike in malicious spam email this month. Malicious spam is different from regular spam in that it carries a virus as a file attachment.

Common versions include messages about credit card accounts, invoices or shipping details from UPS. The messages ask the user to check the attached file for information, which is often a zip file or other compressed archive. Opening the file then infects the computer.

Is it worth fixing?

This is possibly the most important question to ask when it comes to PC repair. Ultimately, you the owner have to make the call.

But we can give you a bit of a basic checklist to help you decide.

First: How old is it?

This is the biggest factor. Older hardware will often be more expensive to replace due to supply and demand.

Also operating systems (IE: Windows, Mac OS, etc) and applications will have a limited support life. After a certain amount of time the company that made it won't be offering support or patches anymore.
